Noise Logging

While using Sewerin Sepem 01, a highly sensitive microphone and noise logger – We set them up to record noise levels at intervals of every 1 minute for 5 days. As seen in the pictures, is the Master Control Box, the Transmitter and an example of the set up of a transmitter.

How noise loggers work

The loggers are mounted to various valves, hydrants and hose reels. They then transmit information to the Master Control Unit via radio frequencies at specific times that have been programmed by our professionals

Reports/Outcomes/Readings

The Sepem01 Master Unit is used to program the loggers parameters which are freely selectable by Smart Leak Detection Africa, without use of a PC. As long as there are no leaks, the recorded minimum noise levels will not change.
However, if a leak is discovered the minimum noise level will remain high, therefore clearly indicating the abnormality on the Master Control Unit, both visibly and audibly.
This method is non-destructive and allows our professionas to identify affected areas that have possible burst or leaking pipes. This is a faster method of pin-pointing these issues, saving you time and money.
